If you have trouble trusting others, it might be because you grew up around adults that taught you to question your emotional reality.
“Everything’s fine!” they said. When you could FEEL - everything was so Very. Not. Fine.
Basically: how to gaslight yourself.
(We have a nervous system designed for safety and survival. Ideally we grow up learning how to tune in and use our feelings as a compass for who and what’s good (or not good!) for us in life - not to treat it as faulty! Tune into those emotions brave ones!)
